Our team has known and worked with each other for a number of years, and you likely have seen us and our work before. We are excited to continue working together at this new business, bringing back the small shop feel that got all of us into the business years ago, with help from a longtime friend, previous customer, motorcycle enthusiast and now owner! Between the staff there is over 100 years of extensive factory experience, with specialized one-on-one service tailored to each customer’s needs.
Barbie Jackson – General Manager
Barbie started out in the motorcycle shop world working as a display person, and has worked in just about every other role on her way up to general manager. The only role she hasn’t done? Wrenching! Her quick learning and hard work ethic helped her advance to bigger roles quickly. She has worked in multiple Harley-Davidson shops around the county and has over 20 years of experience in the field.
Favorite place to ride: Barbie enjoys being a passenger rider and loves to “just go.” She enjoys the views along the way and freedom of riding.
Gregg Shaffer – Performance Specialist
Gregg was up and wrenching by the age of 6 years old. He came to Washington in 1976 and worked on/built log trucks, bikes, street rods, etc. In 1987, he started North Cascades H.O.G. with Fred Smith and Jeff Arnold. In 1998, he helped get Silverdale H.O.G. it’s charter. In 1999, he started at Eastside H-D, went to Silverdale H-D in 2005, then to North Cascades H-D in 2015, until now. He has built 100’s of H-D motors over the years, from nitro drag to pro street to hot street. He can help you build your own custom bike from mild to wild! Remember what the Mayor Of Speed Town says, “SPEED COSTS MONEY, HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO GO?!”
Jacob Stringfellow – Master Technician
Jake has been biking and wrenching since he was 12 years old. He is a certified Master Technician and went to the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute (MMI) in Phoenix. While he will happily work on anything, engines are mostly his favorite thing to work on. He worked at Harley-Davidson for 7 years before coming to Cobra Cycles.
Favorite place to ride: Jacob loves to ride over HWY 20, where he can see the western’s wet weather and landscape meet the east side’s desert landscape.
Martin Gonzalez – Owner
Riding motorcycles since 1997 and a business owner since 1998, this business was simply meant to be for Martin. He has always loved the sensation of the wind on his face, riding all over the states, and even in some parts of Europe. In order to have the freedom ride as much as he wants, he always needs to keep bikes on point. Marin enjoys helping others through the best possible service to get out and ride, with a great team that makes Cobra Cycles. Finding top of the line mechanics, and creating a customer service that in his eyes nobody can match. With the tremendous knowledge from the parts department, mechanics, and general manager and now with our newest member in finance/sales as well. He knows he has the best people with him to bring this dream together.
